U Can Too have a variety of of physical computing kits available to loan for primary and secondary schools in Kent and East Sussex. These are a great way to try out physical computing and engage young people with hands-on experience. Physical computing is using hands-on programmable hardware, such as floor robots or micro-controllers. These devices can interact with the real world through a variety of inputs, outputs and sensors.
What are Physical Computing Loan Kits?
The loan kits are ready-to-use trays containing different types of computing devices. The kits provide everything you need to get started with computing in your classroom. Each kit costs £50(+VAT) to hire for one term, this fee includes postage/delivery and admin costs. If you would also like to book a CPD session or STEM workshop for your school a reduced hiring rate may be available.

Suitable for KS1
A Bee-Bot is a fixed-movement floor robot with a limited range of functions, designed for young learners. Bee-Bot can move in steps of 15cm, turn in 90° turns, and can be programmed with up to 200 commands, teaching control, directional language and programming.
The kit contains:
- 6 Bee-Bots
- 6 Bee-Bot wires
- Docking station
- Docking station wire
- 2 pen holders
- Carry case
