Below are three of the options we currently offer which are project-based, working towards a tangible fictitious real-world goal! As always, we also offer the design of bespoke workshops and incorporate individual school needs. If you would prefer to book a selection of individual one-day workshops get in touch as discounts are often available when making multiple bookings.
Our Multi-Day Projects
We provide all the tools and materials required for each workshop. This includes laptops, computer hardware, electronics, leads, battery packs and other materials that may be needed for the session.
Animatronic Wonderland
Children will begin by exploring animatronics, where it is used in real world applications. They will then become robot engineers, learning how to program a microcontroller, such as a micro:bit, to control motors and lights, before designing and building their own creatures. The whole group will work together to host and market their own event to showcase their builds with others.
Young Game Makers
Children will explore the world of game development, they will become game developers running their own studio, designing a game that tells a story before creating, testing and sharing their own games with children across the school. They will also need to market and “sell” their game to peers. This can be run as a competition or just for fun!

Children will have the opportunity to investigate real-world environmental issues aligned with the Global Goals, identifying and developing technology to help solve the issue as part of the micro:bit do your :bit campaign.
