Can you tell me more about the workshop itself?
This workshop uses a range of free online software allowing your young participant to easily expand their make or explore new versions after the workshop.
During the workshop, our workshop facilitator will welcome the group and introduce how to use video communication software as a member of a group and share the expectations.
After the initial introduction, we will begin to explore the concept of online escape rooms, and human centered design (putting the end user at the forefront of the design process). Participants will then go on to plan their back story and puzzles. They will be introduced to several options for interactive puzzles, after which they will need to consider which tools would best suit their escape experience.
There will be tasks between each session, which shuld take participants around 1 hour to complete, however they may find they want to spend longer creating awesome effects and developing their backstory further.
By the end of the workshop, participants will have created an online escape experience which they can play and proudly share!
